It's amazing to be in a new place, I have so much energy and feel so alive. I don't want to sleep!Fantastic things:
- making a connection and great new friend on flight; laughing about silly things uncontrollably and until tears
- hearing people speak French everywhere, and understanding what they are saying :D
- asking for things only in French and holding a conversation (finally!)
- seeing people on the streets (liveliness!)
- seeing old people playing games in park
- walking everywhere :D
- eating chocolate crepes in front of the Eiffel Tower
Culture shock: Businessmen on bicycles. We saw at least 5 of them... this was a bit strange for me :) The bicycle system is really nice in Paris; there are stations where you can rent bicycles to ride around the city and you can leave them at other stations --- very cool! I can't wait to try it out.
